In this video I define what a polynomial is and what is the degree of a polynomial and give a number of examples of functions that are and functions that are not polynomials. To begin our study of polynomials we begin with Power functions which are functions of the form f(x)=aX^n and compare their graphs when the exponent is even and when it is odd. Then, I move on to graphing polynomials by "completing the squares" and using transformations. Finally, we get into the zeros of a polynomial, odd and even multiplicity and what the graphical interpretation is.
