We call radical Equation, any equation that involves square roots. These equations are solved by raising both the left hand side and the right hand side to the square to eliminate the roots. If not all the square roots were eliminated, we repeat the process. By doing this, we may be introducing "extraneous" solutions (fake solutions). So, after finding the solution(s) we need to plug them into the original equation to see if it is verified.
